Bid Review Meeting
Within one week after bid submission, should have Review Meeting on the calendar with client to discuss the bid, answer any questions/concerns, receive any feedback they may have.
Track proposal with client after bid submission until project awarded or lost
If lost, determine why exactly. Get feedback. Was it just price check?
If it was just price check, we should have known this from the client since the beginning. If we are caught off guard by client’s decision to not award us the project, then one of two things happened:
Biz Dev did not ask the proper questions upfront.
Client was not open & transparent with us. Possibly dishonest. In this case, we should strongly consider if we want to continue bidding for them in future.
