Setting up a new project


Project Setup in estimating folder

When a project comes in for us to estimate, give it a name and set it up as a folder under “Estimating”—> “Projects”. (we will then move that project folder into “Active Projects” or “Estimating Archive” if it is not awarded)

Each new project folder will have a series of subfolders where information will be stored. Copy + Paste the template list of folders from the “New Project Folders” template folder under the new project’s folder.


Corecon setup

  • Follow Project Lead to Project wizard to setup the project. That will transfer all the project information, along with client info, drawings, specs, estimates from lead to project.

  • Biz Dev to make sure the Project Manager provides schedule.

  • Make sure there are photos added.

  • Upload the client’s logo.

  • Review all the plans and specifications.

  • Work with Director of Pre-Construction to develop a subcontractor bid list.
